Top 4 Contestants of Idols SA 2022 (Season 18)

The Idols SA Season 18 Top 4 contestants have been revealed today on Sunday 23 October 2022 during episode 15 of the season.

Last week on Sunday 16 October 2022 during episode 14 of Idols SA Season 18, the Top 5 contestants performed two songs each under the themes, “Babyface’s Songbook” and “Local Chart Toppers”.

The Idols SA Season 18 Top 4 contestants are; Mpilwenhle, Ty Loner, Thapelo and Nozi.

Regrettably, 18-year-old Zee Arnolds from Cape Town, Western Cape was eliminated from Idols South Africa season 18.

Today’s live show kicked off with the Idols SA Season 18 Top 5 contestants performing “How Deep Is Your Love?”.

We then had a guest performance from De Mthuda, Sino Msolo and Da Muziqal Chef with their song “Jola”.

Idols SA 2022 Top 4 Performance

This Sunday, the Idols SA 2022 Top 4 contestants have each performed two songs, a song from New School Mzansi hits and a song that should have been done better by Wooden Mic contestants.

Mpilwenhle

Mpilwenhle was the first contestant to be announced among the Top 4, she then performed “Khusela” by Kabza De Small featuring Msaki.

“What you’ve just done is honest!” Judge Somizi Mhlongo enjoyed Mpilwenhle’s performance.

During the second half of the live show, Mpilwenhle was back on stage and she performed her own version of “Jealous” by Labrinth.

Ty Loner

Ty Loner was the second contestant to be announced among the Top 4 contestants of Idols SA Season 18, he then performed his own version of “Selema (Po Po)” by Musa Keys and Loui.

“You did what had to be done.” JR recognized Ty Loner’s performance.

For his second live performance of the evening, Ty Loner delivered his own rendition of “You & I (Nobody in the World)” by John Legend.

Thapelo

Thapelo was the third contestant to be announced among the Top 4, he then delivered his own rendition of “Seasons” by Lloyiso.

“Baby, you are gifted!” Thembi Seete told Thapelo, something that everyone who’s been watching Idols SA Season 18 already knew.

During the second half of the live show, Thapelo performed his own version of “Ndikuthandile” by Vusi Nova.

Nozi

Nozi was the last contestant to be announced among the Top 4, she then delivered a wonderful live performance of “Thando” by Mvzzle featuring Zammy.

To close off episode 15’s live show, Nozi performed her own rendition of “Listen” by Beyoncé.
