Alicia Kayley is a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Algonquin and Tahltan Nation residing in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Alicia has a Bachelor of Music degree from Carleton University specializing in Classical voice and popular style songwriting.
She is also a graduate of Canterbury High School’s prestigious vocal program.
Alicia has been performing various styles of music throughout her life at numerous venues ranging from The NACCA Indigenous Prosperity Forum, the National Residential Schools Monument Site Selection Ceremony on Parliament Hill, singing the National Anthem at Parliament Hill during Canada Day’s main stage event and the Grey Cup Conference in Ottawa in 2017.
Alicia won a grant to release her first album alongside Crystal Shawanda’s label, New Sun Music, in Nashville.
As a young Indigenous musician, Alicia plans to give Anishinabe women a voice in mainstream music.
