Awilo Longomba

Awilo Longomba is a Congolese legendary singer and drummer who specializes in Soukous, and Techno-soukous.

He began his music career as a drummer but later started singing and would release his first studio album “Moto Pamba” in 1995.

Awilo has gone on to release four more albums, “Coupe Bibamba” released in 1999, “Kafou Kafou” released in 2001, “Mondongo” released in 2004, and “Super-Man” released in 2008.

He has performed live concerts in numerous countries across contents like Africa, North America, and Europe.

Lady Jaydee

Lady Jaydee whose real name is Judith Wambura Mbibo is a Tanzanian singer, songwriter, rapper, and pianist who specializes in the Zouk, R&B, Afro-Pop, and Hip Hop genres.

She is one of the first female artists to sing R&B in Kiswahili and is also known as the Queen of the popular Tanzanian music genre, Bongo Flava.

She has released seven studio albums to date, these are; “Machozi” released in 2000, “Binti” released in 2003, “Moto” released in 2005, “Shukrani” released in 2007, “Nothing But The Truth” released in 2013, “Woman” released in 2017, and “20” released in 2021.

Lady Jaydee has won several accolades for her music, these include;

Being voted the best Tanzanian Female R&B Artist in 2002
Award for “Best R&B Album” at the Tanzania Music Awards in 2004
Award for “Best female video” for South Africa in 2005

Locko

Locko whose real name is Charles Arthur Locko Samba, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, and beatmaker.

He is one of the biggest stars in Cameroon’s music industry and has been nominated for multiple awards including an MTV Africa Music Award for Listener’s Choice.

Locko has released five studio albums to date, these are; “Skyzo” released in 2018, “The Bridge” released in 2018, “Cloud Nine” released in 2019, “Locked Up” released in 2020, and “Era” released in 2021.

Yemi Alade

Yemi Eberechi Alade, professionally known as Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress, and activist.

Yemi Alade who can sing in over 7 languages first garnered international attention after releasing her hit single “Johnny” in 2014.

She has released five studio albums to date, these are; “King of Queens” released in 2015, “Mama Africa” released in 2016, “Black Magic” released in 2017, “Woman of Steel” released in 2019, and “Empress” released in 2020.

Yemi Alade has also released three Extended plays so far, these are; “Mama Afrique” released in 2017, “Queendoncom” released in 2021, and “African Baddie” released in 2022.

She has so far won multiple awards for her music and these include;
