Top 7 Contestants of Idols SA 2022 (Season 18)

The Idols SA 2022 (Season 18) Top 7 contestants have been announced today on Sunday 2 October 2022 during episode 12 of the season.

Last week on Sunday 25 September 2022 during episode 11 of Idols SA Season 18, the Top 8 contestants performed songs under the theme, “Parents’ High School Crush”.

The Idols SA 2022 Top 7 contestants are; Kabelo, Noxolo, Mpilwenhle, Thapelo, Zee, Ty Loner and Nozi.

Sadly, 24-year-old Ceejay Canvass from KwaDukuza, KwaZulu-Natal, has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 18 today.

We have said goodbye to Ceejay today because he did not receive enough votes to keep him in the competition.

We wish Ceejay all the best in all his future endeavors, especially his music career.

Idols SA 2022 Top 7 Performance

For Episode 12 of Idols SA Season 18, the Idols SA 2022 Top 8 contestants opened up the live show with a group performance of “Get Me Bodied” by Beyoncé Featuring Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Solange Knowles.

We also had Robot Boii who delivered a wonderful guest performance of two songs, “Location” and “Salary Salary”.

Kabelo

Kabelo performed his own rendition of “Yeah!” by Usher Featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris.

“Thanks for showing us the happy Kabelo.” Judge Thembi Seete appreciated Kabelo’s Showstopper performance.

Noxolo

Noxolo performed her own rendition of “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” by Whitney Houston.

“You took control.” Judge JR thought Noxolo brought the Idols SA Showstopper magic.

Mpilwenhle

Mpiwlenhle delivered a fantastic live performance of “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyoncé.

Thapelo

Thapelo delivered a fabulous live performance of “Di Boya Limpopo” by Master KG Featuring Zanda Zakuza and Makhadzi.

“You keep winning!” Thapelo gave judge Somizi Mhlongo some Tiger Blood vibes with his Showstopper performance.

Zee

Zee performed her own rendition of “Grown Woman” by Beyoncé.

“We keep having to remind ourselves how young you are … when did you learn all of this?” Judge Thembi was impressed by Zee’s performance on the Idols SA Showstopper stage.

Ty Loner

Ty Loner delivered his own rendition of “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars.

“You really took charge of that performance! Flawless.” JR thought that Ty Loner’s Showstopper was perfect.

Nozi

Nozi was the last contestant to perform and she delivered a wonderful performance of “Don’t Stop the Music” by Rihanna.

“You were like a ship’s commander,” Thembi liked Nozi’s live performance today.
