Blake Proehl’s father played in the football league for about 17 years.
Blake grew up and dedicated everything he knew to football, his dream was to make it to the NFL (National Football League).
Blake finally signed with the Minnesota Vikings and played for about three years as a wide receiver before going through a really tough injury.
The doctors told him it would be a success story if he was able to ever run in general.
Blake was not able to walk for so long and that is where music kind of came in and saved him.
His grandmother “Nana” is the reason why he auditioned for American Idol.
Blake did not believe in himself at all music-wise, “Nana is the reason why I have any confidence at all to be in this room”. He stated.
