JR Bogopa, whose real name is Tabure Thabo Bogopa Junior, is a South African rapper, songwriter, record producer, music executive, creative entrepreneur and businessman.
Together with Thembi Seete, JR joined Somizi Mhlongo on the Idols South Africa judges‘ panel in 2022 shortly before the commencement of Idols SA season 18.
The duo replaced former judges Randall Abrahams and Unathi Nkayi who left the show after their contracts weren’t renewed.
