Australian Idol 2024 Top 21 finalists of Season 9 were revealed on Wednesday 14 February 2024 during episode 11 of the show.
This follows three nights of performances during what is called the Top 30 Week.
From the thousands of contestants that auditioned this season, just thirty singers impressed judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands, and Amy Shark who gave them Golden Tickets to the Top 30.
The Australian Idol Season 9 Top 30 contestants then performed three times during the Top 30 Week.
During the first performance night, contestants sang in groups of five as they tackled the “Chorus Line Challenge” which left Billy Menhennet, Cynthia Negash, and Eli Parr eliminated from the competition.
During the second performance night of the Top 30 Week, the remaining 27 singers performed in groups of three as they tackled the “Overnight Group Challenge” which saw Jet Cameron, Gab Hester, and Prayer Corby get eliminated.
During the third and final performance night of the Top 30 Week, the remaining 24 contestants took on the “Solo Challenge” which saw Jonathan Wells, Jess Chalmers, and Jesse Lazaroo being sent home, leaving just 21 singers in the competition.

The Top 21 contestants then performed during the “Transformation Week” in a bid to impress the judges and hopefully make it into the Australian Idol Season 9 Top 12 finalists.
