Billy Menhennet is a wildcard contestant discovered by judge Marcia Hines.
Marcia Hines travelled to Ballarat, Victoria to meet Billy Menhennet for a surprise audition, she also invited two other singers, Jade McKenzie, and Wil Oldaker.
Marcia then hosted her own mini auditions where each of the above three mentioned singers performed.
For his audition, Billy performed “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan.
His performance impressed Marcia who gave him a ‘YES’ and decided to take him and Wil Oldaker to Sydney to meet the other judges Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands.
In Sydney, the three judges gave Billy Menhennet a Golden Ticket to the Top 30.

During the Top 30 week, there were three performance challenges namely; “Chorus Line Challenge”, “Group Challenge”, and “Solo Challenge”.
Part 1
For the “Chorus Line Challenge”, Billy Menhennet was in a group with Denvah Baker-Moller, Trent Richardson, Tyler Hammill, and Jesse Lazaroo.
He sang “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran and was put On Notice by the judges and eventually eliminated from the competition.
