There are four platforms that you can use to vote on Idol SA 2022 (Season 18) for your favourite contestants

By using all the options listed above and you could cast up to 400 votes for your Idol bettering their chances of advancing every week and claiming the ultimate prize.

How To Vote on the Idolssa.tv Desktop Website

• You can vote for your favourite contestant using your laptop, desktop computer (or other device with a desktop browser) via the Idols SA website. Start by navigating to www.idolssa.tv.
• Next, click on the VOTE menu item. You can also get to this page quickly and easily by typing “www.idolssa.tv/vote” into your browser.
• Click on LOGIN and enter your cell phone number in the international format e.g +27731896142
• Enter your chosen password and then click the SIGN IN button
• Select your favourite contestant
• Enter the number of votes you would like to cast. Click VOTE to submit them
• Votes on the website are limited to 100 votes per user.
• Website votes are free.
• Data costs apply.

• You can vote for your favourite contestant using your smartphone, tablet or any other mobile device via the Idols SA mobile site. Start by navigating to www.idolssa.tv

• To VOTE for your favourite contestant, SMS their number to 37400
• SMS voting is limited to 100 votes per user.
• Each SMS vote will cost you R1.50

How to Vote on MyDStv App for Idols SA

• Get started by downloading the DStv app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Just click here.
• Next, log into the app by entering your Mobile number or Email Address and your DStv Connect Password
• After you have logged into the MyDStv app, look for the “Rewards” menu item on the bottom menu.
• Select your available Rewards and click on the Idols Voting Card
• You must be an active MyDStv subscriber on one of the eligible rewards levels to receive your additional votes
• Confirm your Customer Number and enter your Cell Phone Number in the international format e.g., +234731234567.
• Enter your chosen Password.
• Select your favourite contestant.
• Enter your number of votes and cast your vote by clicking VOTE.
• MyDStv app votes are allocated based on your Rewards levels (active DStv subscribers in South Africa ONLY with eligible Rewards levels only)
• MyDStv App votes are Free

Voting Limits and Cost

Every user can only cast 100 votes per voting platform per vote round, that is to say;

• Web – 100 votes (data cost will apply)
• Mobile – 100 votes (data cost will apply)
• SMS – 100 votes (South Africa only) (R1.50 per SMS)
• MyDStv App – votes per person are allocated based on your eligible rewards level on this platform (For active MyDStv subscribers in South Africa with eligible rewards levels only)

Voting opens on Sundays either at the top of the show or during the live broadcast. It will be communicated explicitly both on-air and on our social media platforms that the lines are open.

Voting will close on Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. unless there is an extension to the voting period which will also be communicated.

Idols SA 2022 (Season 18) broadcasts every Sunday at 17:00 on Mzansi Magic Channel 161.
