Denvah Baker-Moller is an Australian country singer and songwriter from Rockhampton, Central Queensland.

She is the 2nd runner-up of Australian Idol Season 9 in 2024.

Denvah is 23 years old.

She was first introduced to the Australian country music scene in 2018.

Denvah has a background in dance and musical theatre from the age of four.

Denvah received the Young Citizen of the Year Award at the Rockhampton Australia Day Awards for her contributions to the arts and her volunteer work in January 2021.

She was featured in the Courier Mails’ CQ’s Most Influential 30 under 30 list in March of 2022.

In January of 2023, Denvah was a standout Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist and was then named ‘One to Watch’ in the May/June edition of the Tamworth Country Music Capital News.

In August of 2023, Denvah was the Open Winner of the Gympie Music Muster Talent Search and Runner-Up of NQ’s Rock’n Country Reboot.

In October of 2023, Denvah won the Groundwater Kix-Start Competition and was featured on the Surf Parade Stage at the 2023 Groundwater Country Music Festival.

She also performed at the Kix Live at Groundwater songwriters alongside Adam Harvey, Sara Berki, Jackson Dean, and Amber Lawrence.

Audition

During the auditions, Denvah Baker-Moller performed “Pony” by Kasey Chambers.

She received three ‘Yeses’ from judges Kyle Sandilands, Amy Shark, and Marcia Hines.

At the end of the audition day, the judges rewarded her with a Golden Ticket to the Top 30.

Top 30

During the Top 30 week, there were three performance challenges namely; “Chorus Line Challenge”, “Group Challenge”, and “Solo Challenge”.

Part 1

For the “Chorus Line Challenge”, Denvah Baker-Moller was in a group with Trent Richardson, Billy Menhennet, Tyler Hammill, and Jesse Lazaroo.

She sang “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran and the judges informed her that she did enough to advance to the second challenge of the Top 30 Week.

Part 2

For the “Group Challenge”, Denvah was in a group with Isaac McCallum and Bethany Byrne.

She sang “Perfect” by Pink and advanced to the third and final challenge of the Top 30 Week.

Part 3

For the “Solo Challenge”, Denvah performed “Yellow” by Coldplay and advanced to the Top 21.

Top 21

Denvah Baker-Moller performed “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and advanced to the Top 12 finalists.

Top 12

Denvah performed “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton.

Her performance impressed the judges who used the “Judges Save” to save her, thereby advancing to the Top 10.

Top 10

Denvah performed “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.

She received enough votes from the viewers and advanced to the Top 8.

Top 8

Denvah performed “God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys.

When the voting results were revealed on Monday 11 March 2024, Denvah was in the Bottom 4 but advanced to the Top 6.

Top 6

Denvah performed “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper and dedicated it to her sister, Mackenzie.
