Trent Richardson.

Trent Richardson is an Australian camel farmer from Emu Park, Queensland.

He is a contestant on Australian Idol Season 9 in 2024.

Trent Richardson is 22 years old.

He was raised on a camel farm and has never sung in public before.

Trent entered Australian Idol nursing a broken heart and uncertainty about stepping into the spotlight: “I’ve always sang, but I’ve had a lot of self-doubt and been told I’m no good, so to do it for myself and my dad is awesome.”

Trent’s dad, John, reveals: “He was a good kid. He’s a true-blue Aussie. He always had a bit of a kick, he’d be jumping around, he’d be singing. I think that’s what got him into his singing career.”

Trent might have been singing from a young age, but the stage is far from his comfort zone: “I’m not from the city. I’ve grown up on the camel farm.”
