The Idols SA Season 18 Top 6 contestants have been revealed today on Sunday 9 October 2022 during episode 13 of the season.
Last week on Sunday 2 October 2022 during episode 12 of Idols SA Season 18, the Top 7 contestants performed songs under the theme, “Showstopper”.
The Idols SA 2022 Top 6 contestants are; Zee, Noxolo, Ty Loner, Nozi, Mpilwenhle and Thapelo.
On a sad note, 25-year-old Kabelo Makhetha from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 18 because he did not receive enough votes to stay in the competition.

Idols SA 2022 Top 6 Performance
This Sunday, each of the Idols SA Season 18 Top 6 contestants performed two songs: a solo “Lifesong” of their choosing in the first half of the live show.
The second half of episode 13 of Idols SA Season 18 saw each of the newly revealed Top 6 contestants teaming up with MTN Joyous Celebration, who deserve a mention since they performed six songs on the trot, but we knew they were up to the task.
It was a very busy night and a full show.

Zee performed the hit, “Hurt” by Christina Aguilera during the first round and she would be very ‘Hurt’ if you don’t give her some votes for her performance.
During the second half of the live show, Zee performed “Zuliphathe Kahle” with MTN Joyous Celebration.
“You are becoming the singer you want to be.” Judge JR suggested that Zee is coming into her own on Idols SA.
Noxolo performed her own rendition of “We Were Here” by Simi during the first half of the live show.
For her second half performance of today’s live show, Noxolo delivered a powerful performance of “My Help” with MTN Joyous Celebration.
“Everyone is phenomenal, you included.” Judge Somizi Mhlongo suggested that Noxolo has more than earned her place on the Idols SA Season 18 stage.
Ty Loner delivered a fantastic live performance of “Rock With You” by Michael Jackson during the first half of the live show.
In the second half of today’s live show, Ty Loner then teamed up with MTN Joyous Celebration for a duet, performing “Who Am I”.
“Congratulations on choosing a song you’re not comfortable with.” Judge Thembi Seete thought Ty Loner was brave to tackle that track.
Nozi performed “One Night Only” by Jennifer Hudson during the first half of the live show.
She hopes that her rendition of this song will convince the fans to keep her in the competition even longer.
For her second half performance tonight, Nozi teamed up with MTN Joyous Celebration to perform “Wenzile”.
“Nozi, you can sing! Damn!” Somizi Mhlongo was super impressed with Nozi tonight.
After making it to the Top 6, Mpilwenhle performed “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson during the first half of the live show.
For her second half live performance, Mpilwenhle teamed up with MTN Joyous Celebration to deliver a wonderful performance of “Ndinzel’Uncedo Hymn 377”.

The above are the words that judge JR used to comment on Mpilwenhle’s second performance today and he also thinks that she is a serious Idols SA contender this season.
Thapelo was the last contestant to make it into the Top 6, he then delivered his own rendition of the classic, “I Look to You” by Whitney Houston during the first half of the live show.
For his duet with MTN Joyous Celebration, Thapelo delivered a powerful rendition of “Hallelujah Nkateko”.
