At the age of 19 in 2018, Reeves auditioned on Season 7 of The Voice Australia with her rendition of “Halo” by Beyoncé but her performance was not enough to turn the chairs of coaches Joe Jonas, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem, and Boy George.
Amy graduated with a singing degree from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
Amy Reeves got her first taste of performing as a child. The self-described “little diva” grabbed hold of her dream and never let it go.
Amy stated: “I come from a really massive Filipino family. The first time I performed I was four years old, and I just refused to get off the stage.”
Amy was raised in the small coastal town of Broome, Western Australia, and she says her ambition won’t be contained by borders.
Audition
During the auditions, Amy Reeves performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin.
Her Australian Idol audition left Amy Shark speechless before Kyle Sandilands interjected and said: “I think the word you’re looking for is f****g amazing. There is no reason you can’t win this competition.”
Amy reacted to the judges’ comments by shedding tears of joy before Marcia Hines stood up, stepped forward, and comforted her with a warm hug.
Amy Reeves earned three Yeses from judges Amy Shark, Marcia Hines, and Kyle Sandilands.
She received a Golden Ticket and progressed to the Top 30.

During the Top 30 week, there were three performance challenges namely; “Chorus Line Challenge”, “Group Challenge”, and “Solo Challenge”.
Part 1
For the “Chorus Line Challenge”, Amy Reeves was in a group with Dylan Wright, Jake Carlson, Kiani Smith, and Bethany Byrne.
She sang “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga and the judges told her that she did enough to advance to the second challenge of the Top 30 Week.
Part 2
For the “Group Challenge”, Amy Reeves was in a group with Kobe White and Dylan Wright.
She sang “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia and advanced to the third and final challenge of the Top 30 Week.
Part 3
