And at the end of last night’s live show, 20-year-old Josh Hannan was saved by the judges’ vote and automatically progressed to the Top 6. Josh Hannan performed “Fix You” by Coldplay.
Later on, Josh Hannan thanked the judges and his fans by making the below post on Instagram;
I am overwhelmed by the messages and love I am receiving and wanted to personally say thank you AGAIN.
If you guys wanted to vote for me please save them all up for next week as they won’t count for me just for this week after getting the judges save!
Once again, I love all of you guys and a special thank you to Tracey for inspiring and believing in me and letting me dedicate the song to her. I’m super excited that I get to put on a show for you guys again next week!!
GET PUMPED
With that being said, the rest of the seven contestants in the Top 8 were left to the mercy of votes cast by the Australian public.
Tonight the live results show started with a remarkable group performance by the Australian Idol Season 8 Top 8 contestants, they performed “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by the rock band, Crowded House.
Next was the announcement of this week’s voting results that saw Phoebe Stewart, Noora H, Angelina Curtis, and Amali Dimond in the bottom four after a 24-hour voting period of voting by the Australian public.
Before tonight’s live show came to an end, we had a guest performance by American pop rock band, OneRepublic, who performed their 2022 hit single, “I Ain’t Worried”.
