The Idols SA 2023 Top 6 contestants of Season 19 have been announced today in episode 13 of the season on Saturday 30 September 2023.

This comes after the announcement of the Top 7 last week in episode 12 of the season.

The Idols SA 2023 Top 6 contestants of Season 19 are; Envic, Faith, Niikiey, Thabo, Nkosi, and Princess.

Sadly, 22-year-old Thando Mdluli from Orange Farm, Gauteng has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 19 after securing the least amount of votes this week.

Thando’s journey on the show has come to an end and he bows out one spot shy of making it to the Top 6.

This has been such a big feat for Thando, he may have left but he deserves all the applause. So please say your goodbyes and comment with words of encouragement in the comments box below.

Idols SA 2023 Top 6 Performances

The musical themes this week were; “How to Do It” and “Grammy Award-Winning Hits”.

This week the contestants treated viewers to a double dose of live performances on an unforgettable evening.

For the first round of performances, the Top 6 contestants performed songs selected by former Idols SA contestants.

For the second round of performances, the Top 6 contestants performed songs from a list of Grammy award-winning hits.

Envic

Tonight Envic was the first singer to step on the Idols SA live stage.

For his first performance of the evening, Envic delivered a moving take on “Nomvula” by Nathi and displayed the delivery it deserves.

Envic proved that he is not afraid to take on the golden oldies and add his unique spark.

For his second performance of the evening, Envic took us back to the blues with a moving rendition of “When a Man Loves a Woman” by David Foster.

Not one to shy away from diving back in time to sing the retro-bangers from back in the day, Envic took this love song, added his magic touch to it, and sang it down.

Faith

For his first performance of the evening, Faith tackled “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R. and flaunted his raspy voice effortlessly.

For his second performance of the evening, Faith bolted on stage with a refreshing energy as he dove back into the golden vinyl era, giving us a groovy disco-themed take on “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye.

Because this song is a classic, Faith had no choice but to bring out his charm and smooth it out on the stage.

Niikiey

For her first performance of the evening, Niikiey had no quarrels with showing us how it is supposed to be done by delivering a soul-stirring rendition of “Inkanyezi” by Mondli Ngcobo.

Niikiey proved once more that she is indeed a triple threat, another assignment understood, another moment slayed.

For her second performance of the evening, Niikiey brought in the summer with an R&B blockbuster on the Idols South Africa live stage.

She performed “Knock You Down” by Keri Hilson featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West.

Thabo

For his first performance of the night, Thabo once again proved his readiness to unleash powerhouse vocals to massive crowds.

This 26-year-old Mpumalanga native gagged the audience by adding his unique ad-libs to “I Want to Know What Love Is” by Foreigner.

Not only did he show us how it was meant to be done but Thabo continued to charge at us with all the emotion and his vocal amazingness.

For his second performance of the night, Thabo almost made all of us cry as he took on “In Love with Another Man” by Jazmine Sullivan, highlighting his showmanship and extraordinary ability once more.

The vocal range on this is insane and Thabo went even higher showing us his ability to balance delivery and show deep meaning to this Jazmine Sullivan song.

Nkosi

For his first performance tonight, Nkosi handled “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal with all the soul it needed and left it all on the stage.

Nkosi humming beautiful harmonies with a clean falsetto will never not be amazing to watch.

For his second performance tonight, Nkosi gagged the audience with a soulful rendition of “All of Me” by John Legend.

Touching the soul stays on the agenda whenever Nkosi steps on the Idols SA live stage and that was handled as this 29-year-old Durban native ate, slayed, and showed us the rare skill it takes to carry a John Legend song.

Princess

For her first performance of the night, Princess served Beyoncé in her debut solo era with a powerful rendition of “Dangerously in Love”.

Princess simply sang and ate down after deciding that we deserve iconic vocals to match the talent that is Beyoncé.

For her second performance of the night, Princess proved that she is an all-rounder by acing yet another Idols SA performance.

It was a thing of beauty as Princess made us appreciate some good old R&B with her touch on “Fallin’” by Alicia Keys.
