Top 4 Contestants of Idols SA 2023 (Season 19)

The Idols SA 2023 Top 4 contestants of Season 19 have been announced today in episode 15 on Saturday 14 October 2023.

This comes after the announcement of the Top 5 last week in episode 14 of the season.

The Idols SA 2023 Top 4 contestants of Season 19 are; Princess, Nkosi, Faith, and Thabo.

Sadly, 18-year-old Niikiey Kubheka from Vosloorus, Gauteng has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 19 after securing the least amount of votes this week.

So close but yet so far and now unfortunately, the wheels have fallen off for Niikiey and it is time for her to say goodbye to the Idols South Africa journey.

Group Performance

The Idols SA Season 19 Top 5 contestants opened tonight’s live show by performing “Come Together” by The Beatles.

Guest Performance

American R&B singer PJ Morton and South African rapper Maglera Doe Boy performed their new single, “So Lonely (Tony Duardo Remix)”.

Idols SA 2023 Top 4 Performances

Performing live at Mosaiek Teatro, tonight the contestants carried the heavy load of making sure they proved even further that they were worthy of making it to the end.

The musical theme this week was; “PJ Morton’s Playlist”.

Just like last week, this week each contestant performed twice, in addition to sharing the stage with an icon.

American R&B singer PJ Morton, the man behind a few timeless classics, is the icon in question.

PJ Morton has reached milestones in the industry, performed on big stages, and written for talented singers. Tonight we had the honour of experiencing his magic on the Idols SA stage.

But there is more, we know all about PJ Morton’s hits but what does he listen to when it is time to relax? Well, tonight we got the opportunity to find out because the Top 4 contestants tackled his favorite playlist.

Princess

For her very first performance of the evening, Princess tapped into her neo-soul era with a memorable rendition of “On & On” by Erykah Badu.

For her second performance of the night, Princess rose to the occasion and got everyone on their feet, ready to fall in love by giving us a beautiful rendition of the love-filled song, “Shayizandla” by Naima Kay.

Nkosi

For his first performance of the evening, Nkosi gave us a poignant rendition of “Ordinary People” by John Legend, reminding us of his unique ability to create a soft atmosphere every time he is on stage.

For his second performance of the night, Nkosi took us back to the sunsets of the golden 1990s as he channeled the soul in the love-soaked classic, “Sondela” by Ringo Madlingozi.

Faith

For his first performance of the evening, Faith made us vibe to a relaxed neo-soul mood as he served melting honey vocals for his rendition of “Love” by Musiq Soulchild.

For his second performance of the night, Faith proved his remarkable consistency in adapting to different sounds as he stunningly sang for his life on “Bekezela” by Bekezela.

Thabo

For his first performance of the evening, Thabo made quite the splash with a groovy take on “Kiss” by Prince.

For his second performance of the night, Thabo gave us life once again tonight by showcasing his impressive vocal range as he brought to life “Ndinike Indawo” by Jaziel Brothers.
