Top 2 Contestants of Idols SA 2023 (Season 19)

The Idols SA 2023 Top 2 contestants of Season 19 have been announced today in episode 17 on Saturday 28 October 2023.

This comes after the announcement of the Top 3 last week in episode 16 of the season.

The Idols SA 2023 Top 2 contestants of Season 19 are; Princess and Thabo.

Sadly, 26-year-old Faith Nakana from Lebowakgomo, Limpopo has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 19 after securing the least amount of votes this week.

To say Faith put on quite the show and a fight to make it this far would be an understatement. He left no crumbs every week and shall continue to succeed after Idols South Africa.

Today’s live show got off to an explosive start with Makhadzi doing her magic with a masterclass showstopping live performance of her hit song, “Movie”.

Group Performance

The Idols SA Top 10 contestants (minus the Top 3) were back with a bang as they returned to the Idols SA stage performing the global Pop-Piano song “Water” by Tyla.

Faith’s Performance

Before being eliminated from the competition, Faith Nakana performed his brand new Idols SA-produced single, “Khulumela Phansi”.

Tonight, the Idols SA Season 19 finalists delved into three distinct categories, showcasing their vocal versatility.

From peeking into their musical future with “Idols SA-produced Singles”, to the challenging “Producer’s Choice” and the soulful “South African Classics”, every note sung was a crucial step towards the final crown.

Princess

For her first performance of the night, Princess performed her brand new Idols SA-produced single, “You Know I Love”.

For her second performance of the night, Princess revisited her flawless runs on Alicia Keys’ hit single “Fallin’”.

For her final performance of the night, Princess showed how it is done when you cover an iconic song with an energic take rendition of “Umqombothi” by Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

Thabo

For his first live performance of the night, Thabo performed his new Idols SA-produced single, “iSlungu”.

For his second performance of the night, Thabo took to the stage and continued his winning streak with a beautiful rendition of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.

For his third performance of the night, Thabo went mellow and reached for the heart by eating his rendition of “Lakutshon Ilanga” by Miriam Makeba.
