Top 3 Contestants of Idols SA 2023 (Season 19)

The Idols SA 2023 Top 3 contestants of Season 19 have been announced today in episode 16 on Saturday 21 October 2023.

This comes after the announcement of the Top 4 last week in episode 15 of the season.

The Idols SA 2023 Top 3 contestants of Season 19 are; Thabo, Faith, and Princess.

On a sad note, 29-year-old Nkosi King Teresa from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal has been eliminated from Idols SA Season 19 after securing the least amount of votes this week.

Nkosi is surely going places, but tonight, one of those places will be home.

To say Nkosi put on quite the show and a fight to make it this far would be an understatement, the rising singer’s talent took him all the way to the Top 4 of the Idols SA farewell season.

Nkosi ate every week and shall continue even after the Idols South Africa journey, it’s “goodbye” to the singing competition, and “hello” to the music business for him.

Idols SA 2023 Top 3 Performances

Tonight we had three musical themes to cover and boy, we had a good time as each contestant faced the challenge of performing thrice.

The themes this week were, “DJ Collaboration”, “Song of the Season” and “Hits From Their Idols”.

The night was divided into three rounds, each showcasing a different side of the contestants.

The theme-driven performances became a battleground for the Top 3 contestants as we got to experience them slay three themes tonight.

In the first round, the contestants partnered with the renowned DJs Heavy K and Deep London, delivering explosive performances that had the audience on their feet.

In the second round, each contestant revisited their favorite song of the season, providing nostalgia and a chance to demonstrate growth.

In the third round, things got a little bit personal as each contestant performed a hit song from their idols, paying homage to the artists who inspired them.

Thabo

Thabo opened today’s live show by performing “iNDE” by Heavy-K featuring Bucie and Nokwazi.

For his second performance of the evening, Thabo performed his own rendition of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder.

For his third performance of the night, Thabo performed “You Are” by HLE.

Faith

Faith was the second contestant to step on the Idols SA stage tonight, he performed “Piano Ngijabulise” by Deep London featuring Nkosazana Daughter, Janda_K1, and Murumba Pitch.

For his second performance of the evening, Faith performed “Tjontjobina” by Bhudaza.

For his third and final performance of the night, Faith performed “Thrrr…Phaaa!” by Selaelo Selota.

Princess

For her first performance of the evening, Princess performed “Hamba Wena” by Deep London and Boohle.

For her second performance of the night, Princess performed “Russian Roulette” by Rihanna.

For her third and final performance of the night, Princess performed “Listen” by Beyoncé.
