He has hosted American Idol since Season 1 way back in 2002.

American Idol

In 2002, it was announced that Ryan Seacrest would co-host a new FOX reality television series American Idol with comedian Brian Dunkleman.

The following year in 2003, Ryan remained the sole host after Dunkleman departed from the show.

Seacrest remained the sole host until the show’s end (Season 15) on Fox in April 2016.

The following year after ABC won a multi-network bidding war for the rights to American Idol, it was announced that Ryan Seacrest would be returning as the sole host of the show when it returned on ABC in spring 2018.

Ryan has remained the sole host of American Idol to date.
