Zama Khumalo and Brandon Dhludhlu are Dating [Photos]

Former Idols SA season 16 contestants Zama Khumalo and Brandon Dhludhlu are dating and are deeply in love.

These two young lovebirds were first rumoured to be in a relationship last year while they were both still on Idols SA, 22-year-old Brandon managed to make it to the Top 3 contestants while 19-year-old Zama Khumalo went ahead to win the competition.

During the competition, they were asked whether they were dating, to which Brandon replied saying he would not answer any questions about his personal life. “I will answer questions except questions about my personal life,” he told a Channel24 journalist.

Like her boyfriend, Zama Khumalo who’s from Emalahleni did not also respond to questions about her personal life.

But even after refusing to confirm their relationship, their fans were still convinced that Zama and Brandon were an item and in fact when the latter was eliminated from the show on Sunday 6 December 2020, Zama gave him a lovely hug before he stepped off the Idols SA live stage.

However earlier this year, Brandon finally confirmed that he and Zama are actually dating and that it all began way back during the theatre week of Idols SA season 16 in June of 2020.

“We are dating and we started dating in theatre week before the show even started playing on TV. It’s been months now but people will think we only started to date now,“ he told Sowetan Live.

Brandon and Zama are really serious with their relationship to a point that they have already met each other’s parents and families.

This lovely couple also spent the Christmas holiday together and celebrated the new year in Brandon Dhludhlu’s hometown, Barberton, in Mpumalanga.

Recently Brandon took to social media where he thanked the Almight God for putting Zama Khumalo in his life, the ‘Uhambe’ singer posted the below photo of himself and Zama and captioned it with: “Thank you God for Zama Khumalo“.

Brandon and his girlfriend Zama of 11 months are inseparable these days as they enjoy each other’s company.

Brandon and Zama are in fact not the first Idols SA contestants to spark off a romantic relationship while on the show, in 2017 during season 13, Christo Daniels and Phindile Dube who were 21 and 19 years old respectively at the time, began dating while on Idols SA.
