Brian Dunkleman (born September 25, 1971) is an American actor, comedian, and television personality popularly known for co-hosting American Idol Season 1 with Ryan Seacrest in 2002.

American Idol

Brian Dunkleman co-hosted season 1 of American Idol in 2002 with Ryan Seacrest.

However, years later, Dunkleman admitted that quitting American Idol was a mistake because the grew in popularity after he left.

Dunkleman has also criticized the show for the way the contestants on it are treated and has stated that it was the real reason why he left American Idol.

The stand-up comedian has also admitted that he and Ryan Seacrest did not get along, claiming that was another reason why he decided to quit.
