Meet your Idols SA 2020 Top 2 contestants
The Idols SA 2020 Top 2 contestants ‘Season 16 Finalists’ have been revealed this evening on Sunday, December 6th, 2020.
Today our live show kicked off with a magnificent performance from queen Makhadzi, she performed her smash hit, ‘Murahu’ featuring Mr. Brown. During her performance, Makhadzi was a whole mood and she even got a standing ovation from the Idols SA judges after a beautiful, colourful and vibrant opening performance.
Makhadzi really blew us away with her performance, I think we can agree that she is one of the best performers we have in South Africa and we seriously would not mind watching her perform all night, her energy is flames.
We then had Mr Music who performed his brand new debut song titled ‘Ngikethe Kahle’, this warm, and uplifting love song is a perfect complement to his personality.
Mr Music left our hearts in a flutter with this smooth, sincere and beautiful debut song that we think is an instant classic. You can get it now on JOOX and all other major platforms.
Next on the live stage was Zama Khumalo who poured her heart and soul into her brand new single ‘Ndizobizwa, we felt every word and note.
Up next on stage was Brandon Dhludhlu who got us vibing to his stunning brand new single ‘Uhambe’ to the extent that we could not get over how his golden pipes were shining on this number, sadly this was his final performance on Idols SA season 16 before bowing out of the competition.
We then headed for the moment of truth to know who this season’s finalists are, after 22 million votes were cast just this week, it is the phenomenally gifted, Brandon Dhludhlu who bowed out of the competition as he received the least amount of votes from the voting public.
It’s not every time that you see a contestant make such an impact that even his fellow Idols SA contestants shed tears, Brandon is so special and we hope that he never stops shining bright.
To be honest, all the top 3 contestants deserved a place in the Grand Finale but congratulations to Mr Music and Zama Khumalo, Brandon has a very massive career ahead of him nonetheless, we are ready to buy his music.
And that being said, please check out the names of our Top 2 contestants below;
1. Mr Music
2. Zama Khumalo
Either way, Brandon was good and he has paved his way in the music industry, this is definitely his beginning.
Brandon competed like a King and we wish him all the best with his future plans, may God bless him abundantly.
Following Brandon’s exit from the competition, the live performances of the evening resumed with Moonchild Sanelly hitting up the stage and getting the Idols SA crowd in a frenzy in a way only she can.
The first finalist of this season, Mr. Music was back on stage as he performed ‘Ngamthanda Umuntu’ by Linda. Mr Music was then tearful and speechless after the judges compared him to the man he called his biggest inspiration, the late Thami Shobede.
This season’s second finalist, Zama Khumalo then stepped on stage for her second performance of the evening as she performed her own rendition of Mariah Carey’s ‘Without You’. After her performance, the judges are unanimous that she is a vocal force like no other.
Mr. Music then stepped on stage one more time today with a truly touching final rendition of ‘Into Ngawe’ by Sun-El Musician and Ami Faku, he made sure to drop his signature move and pure, pristine vocals to the song.
Zama then closed off the evening with a phenomenal voice as she shook off the nerves and powered through Jennifer Hudson’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ leaving us with shivers.
