Liana Perillo is an Australian harpist, vocalist, and composer from Melbourne, Victoria.
She auditioned on The Voice Australia Season 12 in 2023.
Liana is 32 years old.
This world-renowned harpist has struggled to accept her voice.
Liana Perillo uniquely couples her captivating voice with a modern approach to the harp. She plays both electric and acoustic harps and often incorporates lights, effects, and live looping for a one-woman show.
Her powerful presence brings reverence, beauty, and mystical magic to all who experience her music.
During the Blind Auditions, Liana performed “Strong” by London Grammar.
Liana did not get any chair turns but received compliments from coaches, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.
Perillo then went ahead and requested Jessica Mauboy to perform with her the song ‘Been Waiting’, Jessica’s 2008 single.
“I noticed that you have a harp on your track, ‘Been Waiting’” Perillo told coach Jessica Mauboy.
Jessica Mauboy replied; “Yes wow.. thank you for noticing that. It’s actually one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written”.
Guy Sebastian then intervened and asked Liana Perillo: “Do you know how to play it?”
Perillo replied to Guy: “I happen to have practiced it a little bit”
Perillo then told Jessica: “I would love you to sing it, yeah.”
With the audience cheering on, Jessica Mauboy immediately stood up and joined Liana Perillo on the stage to perform her 2008 track “Been Waiting”.
With Liana Perillo playing the harp, and Jessica Mauboy on the microphone, we were treated to an unplanned live performance of “Been Waiting” by the pair.
