Idols SA 2019 Top 8 Contestants

The Idols SA 2019 top 8 contestants have been revealed during this evening’s live show.

This Sunday’s live show kicked off with a spectacular opening by the Idols SA Top 9 and the Mzansi Gay Choir performing ‘Born This Way’.

A chart-topper, show stopper, and record breaker, Holly Rey rocked the Idols SA stage like a boss with her smash single ‘Deeper’.

Next on stage was Sneziey Msomi and the Mzansi Gay Choir who performed ‘Burnout’ by Sipho Hotstix Mabuse.

Viggy Qwabe then performed ‘Chandeliar’ by Sia with the help of the Mzansi Gay Choir, she was followed by Luyolo Yiba who performed John Legend’s ‘Green Light’.

Nqobile Gumede and the Mzansi Gay Choir then performed ‘I’m Every Woman’ by Chaka Khan, next on stage was the super talented Nolo Seodisha who performed ‘Mkhaya Lo’ by Musa.

Virginia Qwabe followed up with a passionate performance of ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta featuring Sia alongside the Mzansi Gay Choir.

Micayla Oelofse then came through Paxton Fielies‘ hit song ‘Angifuni’ after which we said our goodbyes to Dinky Kunene who was booted out of the competition.

The last performance of the night was from Mmangaliso Gumbi who performed ‘Lady Marmalade’ by Patti Labelle.

Following the voting that took place this week, Dinky Kunene has been booted from Idols SA season 15 after receiving the least number of votes.

    Viggy and Virginia. Wow, they rock. Mmangaliso, Nolo and Luyolo too are a threat.

    I am now totally done with wasting my time watching Idols. There is just no way the most talented entry is gonna win this competition. The creators of this show need to rethink its format if their aim is to indeed create a platform to a fair chance, for a talented entrant to win. I guess Micayla will next be booted just as Dinky and all the real talented entrants who did not even get a fair chance to featuring on the show.
