He auditioned on The Voice Australia Season 12 in 2023.
Ben often posts video clips of himself singing on TikTok where his following is slowly growing.
During the Blind Auditions, Ben Rainford performed “Songbird” by British-American rock band, Fleetwood Mac.
He did not secure any chair turns from coaches; Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, and Jessica Mauboy.
Guy Sebastian had some words positive and encouraging words for Ben, he said;
You are the hardest person to give critique to because it was great, I was just searching for that extra gear, you know what I mean. It’s almost like halfway through the first verse, I’ve learned everything about you as a performer, and at a time where we are scrutinizing so much, it just didn’t tip me over the edge to push my button but you have a serious gift and probably my favorite thing is the emotion that I felt coming from your heart through that.
To which Ben Rainford replied: “Thank you so much.”
