Marley Sola.

Marley Sola is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, and producer from Christchurch, South Island.

He was a contestant on The Voice Australia Season 12 in 2023.

Marley is 27 years old.

Marley Sola was actually named after Jamaican Reggae legend, Bob Marley.

He runs a music studio with his wife and idolises Guy Sebastian’s voice.

Marley’s life has been filled with music. Coming from a family of Samoan, Māori, and European descent, his first memories of music were watching his uncle play saxophone in the classic New Zealand group ‘Salmonella Dub’.

As a teenager, Marley became a regular performer with his local church and jammed out with his mates at weddings.

Marley’s first taste of the wider music industry came when, at age 17, he featured as one-quarter of Moorhouse, a group who were fan favorites in Season 1 of The X-Factor NZ.

Following the group’s eventual split, Marley began working on solo material with the multi-talented singer, producer, and performer Vince Harder.

It was through Vince’s label HMG that Marley would release his first EP ‘Believe’ (2016) and the singles ‘Call My Name’ (2017) and ‘I Feel It’ (2018) before becoming an independent artist in 2019, starting to release music through his own label Mel-oh Records.

Marley crafts his soulful sound from influences such as Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, Daniel Caesar, Matt Corby, Stevie Wonder, and many more.

During the Blind Auditions, Marley performed his own rendition of “Ribbon In The Sky” by Stevie Wonder.

He got four chair turns from the coaches (Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora, and Jason Derulo) and a standing ovation for his breathtaking performance.

Marley Sola chose to join Team Guy.
