Gezel Bardossi | The Voice Australia

Gezel Bardossi is an Australian 12-year-old talented singer and actress from New South Wales. She was a contestant on The Voice Australia Season 12 in 2023.

She has experience with lead speaking roles in TVCs, US series, corporate videos, short films, print, and catwalk modeling.

Gezel’s first support role was in the 2021 Aussie feature film, “Public Eye”.

She was featured in a multi-award-winning music video – “Monska”, and most recently in a background video for JoJo Siwa.

Gezel takes directions easily and is an intuitive actor who learns lines quickly and delivers naturally.

She totally enjoys immersing herself in the creative process, whether that is singing, acting, or dancing. To top it all off – Gezel has flawless US and UK accents and her talents also include playing the Ukulele, singing, dancing, tennis, roller skating, scooter, indoor climbing, swimming, diving, Krav Maga (Martial arts), Segway riding and trapeze.

When she is not busy, Gezel spends time with her dog Cherry, baking or reading. She is cheeky, funny, and wise beyond her years.

During the Blind Auditions, Gezel performed her own rendition of “Chain Of Fools” by Aretha Franklin.

Gezel stunned The Voice Australia Season 12 coaches with a mature voice that belied her age during the Blind Audition.

Her incredible vocal prowess left superstar coaches Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy utterly spellbound and in disbelief, setting the tone for what is expected to be a captivating season of The Voice.

The coaches’ panel was astounded by Bardossi’s mature and electrifying sound.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Rita Ora said.

Jason Derulo stated: “I’m blown away. A world-class talent here in Australia.”

Jessica Mauboy added: “At 12 years old I don’t think I was sounding like that!”

Gezel Bardossi got four chair turns from the coaches plus a standing ovation from the audience and coaches.

She joined Team Rita.
