Garret Lyon is an Australian singer from Brisbane, Queensland. He auditioned on The Voice Australia Season 12 in 2023.
He is 31 years old.
Garret was born and raised in Rockhampton Central Queensland.
Garret Lyon has starred in lead roles in numerous musicals, and theatre shows and has performed his original music extensively around Australia and overseas.
He began dancing and singing after mimicking his favorite artists on television.
Lyon has stated that the artists who influenced him most are; JoJo, Tori Kelly, and Jessica Mauboy.
He grew up listening to 90\’S R&B as well as Pop and Country music.
After he graduated from high school he was accepted into the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) in Brisbane where he studied and graduated with his advanced Diploma in Music.
For his Blind Audition, Garret Lyon performed “Leave (Get Out)” by JoJo.
He did not get any chair turns from coaches Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, and Jessica Mauboy.
