Top 10: Watch Zama Khumalo performing ‘A Change is Gonna Come’

Zama Khumalo performed ‘A Change is Gonna Come’ by Jennifer Hudson.

Jennifer Hudson performed this track at the Democratic National Convention this year, but the Sam Cooke original dates back to 1964. The song was inspired when Cooke and his entourage were turned away from a whites-only motel in Louisiana and it is a Civil Rights Movement staple. It contains the refrain, ‘It’s been a long time coming, but I know a change is gonna come.’

Zama gave us power, depth and spine-tingling vocals with ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ leaving judge Unathi shattered and in tears.

Zama brought the house down showing off her tremendous power, depth and range to Jennifer Hudson’s version of this classic by Sam Cooke.
