Idols SA Season 8 Top 18 contestants revealed

On Sunday 15 July 2012, the judges revealed the Idols SA season 8 Top 18 contestants who will now sing off for a spot in the Top 10.

The male and female contestants will be performing seperately, this means that there will be two separate shows this weekend. The male contestants will perform on Saturday 21 July at 17:30 while the female contestants will perform on Sunday 22 July at the same time.

Voting lines for the male contestants will then open as soon as their show kicks off on Saturday and will close at 17:30 the next day briefly before Sunday’s show kicks off.

Voting lines for the female contestants will also be open for 24 hours, opening at the beginning of their show on Sunday and closing at 17:30 on Monday 23 July.

Viewers have the option of voting via SMS, MXit or online. Voting details are available on the Idols SA official website.

The results of the Top 18 shows will then be announced on Sunday 29 July in a 90 minute special that will also be filmed at the newly built Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto.
