Cameron is in Matric at Trinity House High School.
Daniel Barron
Age: 17
Hometown: Johannesburg
Daniel is in Matric at Holy College of St Salle and writes and records his own songs.
Graeme Watkins
Age: 26
Hometown: Cape Town
Graeme is an actor with a BA in Drama from UCT and waiters and sings at the restaurant Stardust in Rondebosch.
Jason Hartman
Age: 29
Hometown: Cape Town
Jason is a musician and the lead guitarist and vocalist in his family’s band Just Us. He’s also the oldest competitor in the Top 14.
Lendel Moonsamy
Age: 23
Hometown: Originally from Durban, now based in Johannesburg
Lendel jumped the que at the first auditions after winning a Magic Ticket. This is the second time he has entered the show.
Lize Heerman
Age: 21
Hometown: Durban
Lize is a final-year law student at Howard College KZN. This is also her second time of auditions – she auditioned for Idols SA Season 4.
Mathew Moolman
Age: 19
Hometown: Cape Town
Mathew is a second-year student at the Waterfront Theatre School and also waiters and sings at Stardust in Rondebosch.
Ntsepa Pitjeng
Age: 26
Hometown: Johannesburg
Ntsepa is a freelance actress who also has a full-time job. She has auditioned for Idols previously but couldn’t continue in the competition because she had to choose between singing and her work.
Pixie Bennett
Age: 24
Hometown: Durban
Pixie got her nickname as a student – her real name is Laura Lee. She has travelled to Italy, Turkey, and Ibiza and has her own group called The Pixie Bennett Band.
Rethabile Kgoroeadira
Age: 20
Hometown: Johannesburg
As a child Thabs appeared in various Tv commercials including ads for OMO and Sparletta. She is in the process of trying to get a CD released. This is the third time she has entered the show.
Sasha-Lee Davids
Age: 20
Hometown: Johannesburg
Sasha-Lee sings in a group called The House Of David, with her nine siblings. She is also currently a contestant in the MK Channel’s Matrix.
Sithembiso Nkosi
Age: 19
Hometown: Johannesburg
Thembi is from the East Rand and is currently in Matric at TUT. She plays the piano.
Suzzie Swanepoel
Age: 24
Hometown: Johannesburg
Suzzie has a diploma in Musical Theatre from TUT and has appeared in various TV commercials including ads for Euro Millions, Smart Car, and Telkom World Call Card.
Thubalethu Myeki
Age: 18
Hometown: Port Elizabeth
Thuba matriculated last year and has plans to study Performance at AFDA.
