South Africa’s Department of Higher Education and Training announced that National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) applications for the 2025 academic year will open on Friday 20 September 2024.
This comes after the application process which was supposed to start on Monday 16 September 2024, was postponed due to stakeholder engagements that were concluded on Sunday 15 September 2024.
The opening date was revealed during a media briefing in Pretoria on Monday 16 September 2024.
