Nigerian Idol Winners From Season 1 To 7

There are so far six Nigerian Idol winners from Season 1 to 7.

Below is a list of Nigerian Idol winners;

Season 1 (2011): Onyekachi Gilbert Elizabeth (Yeka Onka)

26-year-old Onyekachi Gilbert Elizabeth popularly known as Yeka Onka, from Ohafia, Abia state, won Nigerian Idol season 1 on Saturday 26 March 2011 at the grand finale that took place in Lagos. She also won a cash prize of 7.5 million Naira, a recording contract, a brand new car and a couple of others prizes.

Runner-up: Naomi Mac

Runner-up Naomi Mac won herself a cash prize of 1.5 million Naira and a couple of other prizes.


Season 2 (2012): Mercy Chinwo

Mercy Chinwo from Port Harcourt won Nigerian Idol season 2 on Saturday 7 April 2012. She also won herself a cash prize of 7.5 Million Naira, a recording contract and a brand new Jeep SUV from Etisalat.

Season 3 (2013): Moses Obi-Adigwe

22-year-old Moses Obi-Adigwe won Nigerian Idol season 3 on Saturday 13 April 2013, becoming the first male contestant to win the competition. He received a cash prize of 7.5 million Naira, a brand new SUV and a recording contract worth another 7.5 million Naira from Etisalat Nigeria.

Runner-up, Debbie Rise won herself 1 million Naira and a brand new KIA Rio car, also courtesy Etisalat Nigeria.


Season 4 (2014): Zibili Evelyn Ibhade (Evelle)

23-year-old Zibili Evelyn Ibhade, popularly known as Evelle, won Nigerian Idol season 4 on Saturday 7 June 2014. She was rewarded with a cash prize of 7.5 million Naira, a brand new car (Hyundai ix35 SUV), a recording deal with Universal Music Group, an android tablet, a phone and an iPod.

Winner: Zibili Evelyn Ibhade (also known as Evelle)
Runner-up: Odugbemi Idowu Sarah (also known as Eye-D)

The runner-up, Sarah Odugbemi received a cash prize of 1.5 million Naira, a brand new Hyundai i10 car, an android tablet and a phone.


Season 5 (2015): Kunle Ogunrombi (K-Peace)

32-year-old Kunle Ogunrombi (also known as K-Peace) won Nigerian Idol season 5 on Saturday 13 June 2015, he received a cash prize of 7.5 million Naira, a brand new SUV and a recording deal with Universal Music Group.

Runner-up: Ogunmoyero Modoluwamu (also known as Dolu)

The runner-up, 25-year-old Ogunmoyero Modoluwamu (also known as Dolu), won a cash prize of 1.5 million Naira, a brand new saloon car, a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, a phone and an iPod.


Season 6 (2021): Kingdom Kroseide

24-year-old Kingdom Kroseide won Nigerian Idol season 6 on Sunday 11 July 2021. He also won himself a recording deal of a six-track EP, with music video shoots for three of the songs, and over 50 million Naira worth of prizes which included a 30 million Naira cash prize and a brand new SUV.

Runner-up: Francis Atela

The runner-up, Francis Atela, also walked away with a single produced by a leading music producer in Nigeria and a top-notch music video shoot.


Season 7 (2022): Progress Chukwuyem

21-year-old Progress Chukwuyem won Nigerian Idol Season 7 on Sunday 22 May 2022.

Runner-up: Zadok Aghalengbe
