Meet the Idols SA 2021 (Season 17) Top 10 contestants (Episode 10)

The Idols SA 2021 (Season 17) Top 10 contestants have been revealed today on Sunday 12 September in episode 10 of the season.

We have summarised how things unfolded in today’s live show and you can enjoy reading it all below.

Budding artist, Boohle, energetically yet effortlessly opened today’s live show with her single “Amawaza” which features Busta 929 and the late Mpura.

The Group A contestants of the Top 16 had too much sauce on the Idols SA stage with a great rendition of “Siyathanda” by Cassper Nyovest featuring Boohle and Abidoza.

Nqobi was then announced as the first contestant to enter this season’s Top 10.

Big Zulu and Lwah Ndlunkulu did things in a big way as the performed “Umuzi eSandton”.

Berry, Daylin Sass and Sia Mzizi were then announced as the next contestants to enter the Top 10.

Group B contestants of the Top 16 then made us look forward to Summer 2021 with a blazing rendition of “SummerYoMuthi” by Blaq Diamond.

Pabi Cooper, Busta929 and Reece Madlisa then brought the house down with their performance of “Isphithiphithi” an amapiano smash.

We then had the pleasure of welcoming Monique Erens, S’22kile and Karabo to the Top 10.

The people’s bae, Kevin Maduna was then announced as the next contestant to join the Top 10, you get to see his face and listen to his voice for longer.

Next on the Idols SA stage was another guest performer, Mthandazo Gatya who had a beautiful and passionate performance of his gorgeous single, “Uzobizwa”.

Bulelani then became a certified Top 10 finalist, this meant that there was only one spot left to fill in the Top 10 with seven contestants namely; Andiswa, Sinovuyo, Siya, Ithana, Tesmin-Robyn, Zukisa and Misty hoping to secure it.

The moment many of the viewers were waiting for, the Empress from Limpopo Makhadzi – took a few moments away from her throne to perform “Ghanama” alongside Prince Benza.

Ithana was then announced as the final Top 10 entrant.

On a sad note, Siya, Zukisa M, Tesmin-Robyn, Sinovuyo, Misty, and Andiswa have been eliminated from the show but there is no doubt that they are performers. Their talent knows no bounds and we really hope they use the Idols SA platform to build themselves as artists. We are sad to see them go but we’ll be looking out for them.
