A list of past Big Brother Naija winners
As we gear up for the announcement of the Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner today, we hereby take you through all the past winners of the show.
Since its inaugural season in 2006, Big Brother Naija has so far crowned eight winners, they are; Katung Aduwak, Michael Ejeba, Miracle Ikechukwu, Mercy Eke, Laycon, Whitemoney, Phyna, and Ilebaye Odiniya.
Below are the past winners of Big Brother Naija and the prizes that they walked away with.
Katung Aduwak

Katung Aduwak won Big Brother Naija Season 1 on Sunday 4 June 2006, after staying 92 days inside the Big Brother house in Randburg, South Africa.
He walked away with a prize of $100,000.
Aduwak, a scriptwriter and production assistant from Kaduna State, was 26 years old at the time of his victory.
Michael Ejeba

Michael Ejeba, popularly known as Efe, won Big Brother Naija Season 2 on Sunday 9 April 2017, after spending 77 days inside the Big Brother house.
He received 57.61% of the votes in the final week and was rewarded with a ₦25 million cash prize and a brand new Kia Sorento SUV from MultiChoice Nigeria.
Efe, a rapper from Warri, Delta State, was 24 years old at the time of his victory.
Miracle Ikechukwu

Miracle Ikechukwu, a young pilot from Lagos – won Big Brother Naija Season 3 on Sunday 22 April 2018.
Ikechukwu who was 24 years old at the time, was crowned the winner after getting 38.18% of the votes cast in the grand finale week.
As a reward for his victory, Miracle walked away with a grand prize of ₦45 million that included the following;
- A cash prize of ₦25 million
- A brand new Hyundai SUV worth ₦12 million
- A premium home entertainment system and appliances worth ₦3.3 million
- A voucher for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to an exotic destination valued at ₦4.7 million
Mercy Eke

Mercy Eke, a video vixen and businesswoman from Lagos, won Big Brother Naija Season 4 on Sunday 6 October 2019, after spending 99 days in the house. She was 26 years old at the time.
She received 41.77% of the votes in the grand finale week and made history by becoming the first woman to win the reality show.
Mercy walked away with ₦60 million worth of prizes that included the following;
- A cash prize of ₦30 million
- A brand new Sport Utility Vehicle from Innoson Motors worth ₦25 million
- An all-expense paid trip to Dubai for two
- A Scanfrost electronic makeover
- A one-year supply of Pepsi-Cola
- A one-year supply of Munch It and Indomie noodles
- VIP tickets to watch the 2020 European Champions League final
Laycon

Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba, professionally known as Laycon, won Big Brother Naija Season 5 on Sunday 27 September 2020. He was 26 years old at the time.
Laycon, a rapper and singer from Lagos, received 60% of the votes during the finale week.
Laycon was rewarded with ₦85 million worth of prizes that included the following.
- ₦30 million in cash, plus an extra ₦6 million he won during his 71 days stay inside the Big Brother house
- A 2-bedroom apartment courtesy of Revolution Plus, filled with home appliances from Scanfrost
- A trip to Dublin sponsored by Guinness
- A trip for two to Dubai from Travelbeta
- A trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale, one year supply of Pepsi, and a branded chiller all from PEPSI
- A brand new G40 Sport Utility Vehicle from Innoson Motors

Whitemoney

Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, won Big Brother Naija Season 6 on Sunday 27 September 2021. He was 29 years old at the time.
Whitemoney, a businessman from Lagos, received 47% of the votes cast during the finale week.
He walked away with ₦90 million worth of prizes that included the following.
- A cash Prize of ₦30 million
- A 2-bedroom flat courtesy of RevolutionPlus Property
- A brand new Innoson IVM G40 Sport Utility Vehicle
- TravelBeta travel package for two (a trip for two to Dubai, including Airport Transfer and Tours)

Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, won Big Brother Naija Season 7 on Sunday 2 October 2022, becoming the second woman to win the reality show.
Phyna, an actress and hype woman from Edo State, was 25 years old at the time of her victory. She received 40.74% of the votes in the final week of the season.
Phyna was rewarded with ₦100 million worth of prizes that included the following;
- A cash prize of ₦30 million
- A brand new Innoson IVM G5T Sport Utility Vehicle
- A cash prize from Flutterwave
- A cash prize from Pocket by PiggyVest
- ADubai trip for 2 from TravelBeta

Ilebaye Odiniya

Ilebaye Precious Odiniya, a 22-year-old model from Kogi State, was crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 8 on Sunday 1 October 2023, becoming the third woman to win the reality show.
Ilebaye received 30.08% of the votes in the final week and walked away with ₦120 million worth of prizes.
The prizes included; a brand new SUV from Innoson Motors, a weekend getaway for two from TravelBeta, Nexus appliances, a Tecno smartphone, Sardine products, a 1-year supply of Pepsi, Munch It, Dano milk, Lush hair products, WAW detergent, and Hawaii soap products.
Kellyrae Sule

Kellyrae Sule, a 33-year-old professional singer from Delta State, was crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 9 on Sunday 6 October 2024.
He received 35.95% of the votes in the final week and walked away with ₦100 million worth of prizes that included a ₦60 million cash prize and a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle from Innoson Motors.
