Top 14
The 14 semi-finalists (Top 14 contestants) were revealed on Tuesday 17 August 2010, they consisted of six guys and eight ladies.
They were then split into two groups of seven and instead of warming up their self-confidence in front of a small studio audience, it was straight to the massive Mosaiek Teatro in Fairlands, Johannesburg, where they all performed in front of thousands of fans on a bright new Idols SA stage.
The two contestants who received the least amount of votes from each group were eliminated, the remaining five contestants from each group were then merged to get season 6’s Top 10.
