In a Theatre Week like no other due to lockdown, the Idols SA contestants only met their group partners moments before they performed.
With the COVID-19 pandemic necessitating social distancing, our Idols Season 16 talent had to rehearse in isolation adding a new dimension to the competition but also levelling the playing field in a whole new way.
Theatre Week 2020 was our first ever in a national lockdown meaning socially distanced and isolated vocal training and rehearsal for our Season 16 hopefuls. A necessary move that could have created anxiety for some extroverts but ultimately eliminated any group dynamics challenges too.
In another classic, Theatre Week twist our Season 16 hopefuls had to rehearse in isolation only getting to meet their competition seconds before hitting the stage. Take a look and see how they fared.
