Congratulations: Meet Your Idols SA 2018 Top 2 Contestants

The Idols SA 2018 top 2 contestants “Finalists” have finally been revealed.

After this week’s record breaking voting where 110 millions votes were cast, Thato Makape and Yanga Sobetwa have progressed to the grand finale of Season 14 of Idols South Africa.

Can we take in this moment for a second?! All thanks to you the fans, we blew the record out the water and have hit an incredible 110 million votes this week, Thank you Mzansi.

Thando was the first contestant to step on stage as she performed her brand new single “Wasting Time”, your girl really spoke and please don’t waste her time abeg.

Next on stage was Yanga and What a lituation as she unleashed a banger of a brand new single with her debut ‘Scars’.

And lastly to unveil a debut single was Thato. Woza Dezemba, Thato gave his fans their very own hit, ‘Blow by Blow’, to have on repeat.

It was at this moment that Thando got to know her fate on the show as she was booted out of the competition after receiving the least number of votes.

At this point of the live show, our finalists had to step back on stage and give two performances each.

And taking us all back to that memorable Theatre Week performance, Yanga just elevated an already remarkable rendition of emeli Sande’s ‘Heaven’

All the feels as Thato laid his emotions bare with a passionate performance of his Theatre Week gem ‘I’m Not The Only One’ by Sam Smith.

“Star power, you’ve got it!” Randall shared exactly why Yanga deserved to make it all the way to the final after that electric performance of ‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’ by Alicia Keys.

For his third performance of the evening, we will ask you all to grab the fire extinguisher because Thato did bring the heat, the fire and the flames to the Idols SA stage with his performance of
‘If’ by Davido.

Congratulations to both Yanga and Thato while on the other hand farewell to our girl Thando, we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
